flies beware! - 09:00 AM

while i'm waiting for my fly trap to arrive & to catch the stray fly or mosquito which may get caught in the house, i got a fly gun. it really does work & it's actually quite fun. takes a bit of practice, but i've killed three flies with it already since last night. they're right that it doesn't leave a mess too. the last one i got this morning was a bit mangled but there was no squashed fly left on the wall.
just wait until the heat of the day sets in (if it does. looks like it might be a bit cooler today) & the flys come swarming in as they have for the past week. they'd better watch out now! 
[edited to add: the fly gun website is quite cute. the 'know the enemy' & 'fun with flies' pages are pretty cool & even the faq section is rather amusing.]
i have one that shoots ping pong balls. i keep it my desk and use it on employees that goof up.
Glad you are enjoying the "Amazing Flygun" - we make them in Cape Town, South Africa - they can be bought in some stores in Oz ( the Australian Geographical store stocks them I think) - in the UK the Gadget store always has them. Failing that we sell them worldwide at www.amazingflygun.com (they make great cheap xmas pressies for any hot blooded male)
The 'fun fly info' on our site is not on the FAQ page as mentioned - instead check out the "know the enemy" page - everything you never really wanted to know about flies - did you know, for example, that flies can travel 300 times their body length in a second (if they were the size of a jet they would be doing mach 3!) ... and if you want to be really grossed out check out the link to pictures of what happens when a bot fly lays eggs in a human's eye ... not for the squeemish ...
Theres a fun flygun riddle as well which kinda hurts the brain and drives people nuts ...

btw guy came from the Gadget shop in the UK.so true, guy. the pages that are meant to be funny are indeed funny, but it seems the people at wonderfully weird (the makers of the fly gun) have a good sense of humour because i found the faq page to be amusing too. anyway, i've edited the entry to mention the 'know the enemy' page.
