how unobservant am i? shroom took me out to the chook shed to show me some stuff he did in there while i was out having lunch with melanie & jade today. i walked in & said, "oh, look. you put a step into the shed," when i saw the plank lying flat near the door. then i noticed the hay on the floor. "oh, you put the hay in too! good one, babe."

i began to walk out again when shroom looked at me funny. he had to physically point to the rather large set of six nesting boxes covering more than half of one side of the chook shed, just behind all the hay i'd noticed, as well as the whopping great plank he'd put up at shoulder height for the chooks to roost on, which i'd walked right next to to fill up the chooks' water. if i'd been any closer to the plank i would have got splinters in my arm.

man, i can hardly believe i didn't see these things .. rotfl!! *chuckle*
