hmm. i'm hungry. this is probably due to the fact that today i've consumed only two hot chocolates, four mini wagon wheels, four slices of raisin toast & four glasses of chocolate milk.
i should eat something .. probably something which doesn't contain chocolate. more raisin toast perhaps? *chuckle* 
oh, i forgot. i also had two soft boiled eggs with two bits of toast.

i thought chooks laid eggs in the morning? one of them is just going off at the moment with the proud (or is it painful?) "bwaorrk bwaorrk bwaorrk" that they do when they've laid an egg. i collected the first egg of the day this morning at about 10:30am when it had just been laid. maybe our chooks are really nightowls.

riley's getting so much bigger now (although really he's only the size of a large newborn now since he started out a bit smaller than the average baby) that it's becoming more difficult to hold him with one hand when the need arises. i have a great sling which i've used at various times such on as the plane on the way home or when i've gone grocery shopping. i think i'll start to use it more. he's asleep in it now actually.
as he gets older & can sit up on his own, i'll be able to put him in it on my hip with my hands free so that i can walk around the house & get stuff done & he won't get lonely.

riley was having a little whinge, so i said to him, "would you like some boobie?" & lifted my top as i said the word 'boobie'. he paused for a second, then his eyes lit up & he gave a big smile .. lol!

well, that'll be lovely, won't it? shroom's mum just called to see how the trip away went. she was probably going to ask when she could come to visit, but i pre-empted her by asking her when she wanted to come around. i said that if she wanted to she could come for a visit soon & look after riley for me for twenty minutes or so while i go down the road to do some grocery shopping.
i'm not sure if it'll be just nanna or poppy too, but it'll be nice to have a visit from either of them. shroom's parents are lovely.
i'd better jump in the shower quickly so that i don't smell when they get here.

smiley's asleep at the moment. i should really have a nap while he's sleeping, but i'm enjoying having some 'me time'. besides, i have to put the washing in the dryer anyway.
he didn't sleep through last night, despite my best efforts. he even had two feeds before he fell asleep, but he still woke for a 4am feed (accompanied by the damn kookaburras which then kept me awake). oh well. i guess we'll keep working on it.
