dr seuss - 04:49 PM
i just bought dr suess's 'the foot book' (in a board book version) to read to riley. i spoke to a girl at a book shop to see if i could oder a couple more (i've ordered 'fox in socks' & 'mr brown can moo! can you?') & we had a short conversation about dr seuss. she said she reckoned he must have been on drugs, for sure .. rotfl!
.. possibly, but they really are great books. i love them. i hope riley enjoys the rhyme & rhythm of them .. & since it's a board book, he can play with it once he begins holding onto things with less chance of tearing the pages.

I find it's much easier to read books that have rhythm and rhyme. Have you got Hairy Maclary books over there? Lynley Dodd is the author. I find they're brilliant for reading out loud.
