flies be gone - 11:14 AM

after a false start with a plastic bag version, i've now set the flytrap in an old 15 litre water container & it's begun to work. i checked it yesterday & it already had a drowned fly trapped in it.
spunkly got out into the back section of our property & had a go at trying to get to the chicken necks which i used as bait, but only got as far as ripping off a bit of tape & putting a couple of teeth marks in the container.

geez, no wonder i'm sweating. it's 80% humidity. bleah. time to turn on the air conditioner, i think.

it's been raining steadily all night. this is excellent. the area really needs it & so does our water tank. the tank should be filling up nicely.
