with the help of the kid next door, bradley, i just found a secret stash of six eggs. i heard a chook going off earlier today, as they do when they've layed an egg, so i went out to check, but there was no egg in any of the nesting boxes. when i began to look around, bradley told me that he'd seen one of the chooks come out of the old tin hay storage thing near the chook shed & when he looked in the top, there it was, a nice private little nest with six eggs in it.
i'm not sure if all of the eggs will be any good since it's a rather hot place to be storing eggs for any amount of time, especially with the heat we've been having lately.
at least i know where to look for eggs now. heh.
