well, i did it. the cake is all finished. i took a picture of it & put it in the photolog. i also described why it looks so freaky .. lol!

well, i've made the chocolate whizz cake for which angela gave me the recipe. excuse the french, but it's bloody huge!! my gosh! i'm going to have to cook it in two batches because i only have one (quite small) cake tin which i bought this morning when we did the groceries. when i saw how much two cups of sugar filled the mixing bowl i knew i was going to run into a problem.
anyway, it's in the oven now. wish me luck. 
.. & now i'd better cover the remainder of the mixture before i eat it all. lol!

since he did it twice all that time ago smiley hadn't rolled over again until a few days ago when he did it two or three times in a row. i was with him this time, on our bed, while we were playing & resting together. he rolled from his belly to his back. he'd push up on his arms with his head stuck high into the air (he reminds me of a little turtle when he does that), pushing harder with one arm than the other & raise his feet up & over to one side, then over he'd topple. very cute. he looks pretty pleased with himself when he manages it.

something got me a good one on the back of my hand at the base of my thumb. probably a spider. i think it got me twice in the same area because there are two itchy spots inside the circumference of the part which is a little bit swollen. it's more itchy than hurty, but it does hurt a little bit if i press on the swollen area. i know, i know! so don't press on it! i was only doing it to check on the damage. that part of my hand now looks like when i was pregnant & retaining all that water. heh.
