finl anaysis on the spider bite is that there definitely was one bite from a spider & one bite from a mosquito. could be a good theory as to why the swelling was so weird & persisted for a relatively long time.
a mosquito got me this morning on the back of my heel. i really hate that. you can't scratch it very well through the tough skin. it just itches & itches & itches ..
another mosquito (although who knows? it could be the same one terrorising me night after night 
) got me the night before on the outside corner of my right eye (socket). i'm trying very hard not to scratch that one. if it got too swollen i fear my eye would swell shut a bit.

i didn't get bit today but had another kind of critter encounter. While sitting at my desk a lady bug flew onto one of the lenses of my glasses. it gave me quite a start as it looked like an elephant being so close and magnified by the lens. afraid i swatted it (her) across the office.
