smiley's lying on his play mat looking up at a little bee which is hanging from a flower (which is hanging from the arch) & talking to it. actually he's kind of yelling at it .. it's pretty darn amusing.

a couple of times, daddy has accidentally put smiley's clothes on back to front or inside out. i've noticed each time, of course. this time when he dressed him while i was out getting some stuff at the shops, he purposely put everything on him (except his nappy) the wrong way out. except that he was tricked by the singlet because it's made with the tag on the outside .. lol!

i thought it wasn't very likely at all, but it turns out it is indeed possible to have too much cream. ergh.

today's turning out to be nice & cool. it's only 26 degrees (about 78f) & 60% humidity. very nice.

i used to wear contact lenses almost exclusively. soft ones. i tend to produce a huge amount of protein though, so eventually i just gave up on them because by the end of the day i would have so much grot on them that i was dying to get them out of my eyes. some days it would take only twenty minutes to get a solid line of protein buildup right across my vision. i tried all sorts of different cleaning regimes to help, but nothing could cut it.
i then tried hard contact lenses, since they clean up much better than soft ones, but i was getting lots of headaches at the time & they gave me really bad ones. however, i haven't had headaches for a long time.
yesterday, we were packing away some boxes from the garage & i found my hard lenses in a box of bathroom stuff. so i'm going to buy some fresh cleaner (the old stuff is way past its use by dates) & give them another try. i so much prefer to not have glasses 'messing up my face'.

riley slept in this morning until about 6:30am .. very nice. he still had a feed in the night & then an early morning one, but usually his first feed of the morning is about 4:30am & he won't go back to sleep. this morning though, he went back to sleep after his 4:30am feed. woo hoo!
