the other day i had a much needed hour or so nap in the middle of the day. riley wasn't sleepy, so ordinarily i wouldn't have been able to sleep, but shroom said he'd look after him while i slept. eventually he came back in to get me when riley needed a feed.
it was the longest time that shroom has looked after riley all on his own since he's begun to be much more interactive. as he handed riley to me for me to feed him, he said, "he's fun to play with!"
i thought it was really cute. i already knew that, but it's nice to see shroom enjoying him as much as i do.

reminds me of a funny story a workmate told me. she had an infant and needed to do some laundry. hubby was watching tv and said he'd watch the baby. moments later the woman heard her hubby screaming and went to see what was up. he had the baby by its legs pulling it away from him. seems the baby got hungry, found a nipple and latched on. something the poor guy wasn't ready for. so, babysitting for new dads can be exciting.
