i just held onto a small piece of mango while smiley sucked on the other end of it .. & he loved it! he was even smiling & laughing about it. 
maybe he'll be ready for solids soon after all. one of the signs they reckon is that the baby shows an interest when you're eating. he has been over the last day or so. i think i'll still wait until closer to six months, but he seems to be starting to show the right signs of wanting solids.
