there are two new pictures in the photolog for your viewing pleasure. one of some clouds & one of my glaring whiteness.
finding nemo - 11:04 PM
shroom & i just watched finding nemo. gosh it was good! wow, really impressive. i loved the characters & the animation was amazing.
having been down there myself (underwater in the great barrier reef, that is) i can say that they did a really gret job with the details. the colours & the way they drew everything was spot on. shroom saw one small error which was that there was a fresh water plant in the salt water tank, but other than that, it was top notch. brilliant, brilliant movie.

only five? - 12:44 PM
i thought we'd lost a chook for a few minutes there. when i'd seen them hanging around in a bunch, lately, i'd only counted five chickens. i went looking for number six chicken & was actually sniffing the air as i went, afraid that i'd smell her before i saw her, if you know what i mean. no worries though, she was actually just sitting on her (unfertilised) egg, waiting for it to hatch.
when we got the chooks months ago, we were warned about foxes in the area. i don't know where these foxes are, because if there were any around, i'd have thought they'd have taken a chook or two by now, especially since ours wander around wherever they choose.

the big question - 05:49 AM
so he finally goes to sleep in the swinging chair. then comes the question of moving him or leaving him where he is. if i leave him where he is, he'll stay asleep, but if i move him, he might wake up & so i can't go back to sleep. then again, i can't go back to sleep with him in the chair anyway, because it's not really a safe place for him to sleep unattended, so really if i want to try to sleep, i have to move him. it's a dilemma i face daily.
this morning's result? i moved him & he woke up. i've now put him back & he's happily dozing off again. poo.
it's working - 05:33 AM

you are getting sleeeepy - 05:21 AM
tough times call for tough measures: the wind-up swinging chair. if he's at all tired, this usually does the trick. i'm still waiting to see big yawns though .. from him, not from me. there are plenty of yawns from me.
wide awake - 05:13 AM
why? why was he wide awake at 4:30am & still wide awake now? errrgh. so tired ..
