so he finally goes to sleep in the swinging chair. then comes the question of moving him or leaving him where he is. if i leave him where he is, he'll stay asleep, but if i move him, he might wake up & so i can't go back to sleep. then again, i can't go back to sleep with him in the chair anyway, because it's not really a safe place for him to sleep unattended, so really if i want to try to sleep, i have to move him. it's a dilemma i face daily.

this morning's result? i moved him & he woke up. i've now put him back & he's happily dozing off again. poo.

Strap him into the swinging chair and rule number one, never move a sleeping child.

move the chair next to your bed before you put him in it. then if he dozes off, you can too. if he wakens, you will too. ahhh, always the analyst.
