toxic custard meme - 11:04 PM

not sure if it's designed to be a meme or not, but it's kind of like the ones going around, except that it's more geared towards australians. since i'm going to put my answers here as well as at the source, i guess it's now officially a meme. i'm sure it's okay if we pass it on, but make sure you give credit as to where it's originally from. not me, but from daniel of toxic custard.

dog, definitely.

not really into either, but even less so into tintin, so for me, asterix.

technical, although at school i actually did all humanities.

milo these days since i’m breastfeeding & it’s actually got good stuff in it, or so they say. it used to be cadbury’s drinking chocolate.

full fare.

News/talk or music?
music.

Manual or automatic?
i prefer manual (except for when stuck in traffic) even though we have an automatic.

Blogger or… not?
blogger, absolutely! lol!

really heavy rain - 04:57 PM

wow, i'm really glad i'm not having to drive all around this afternoon as i thought i was going to have to. it's absolutely pouring down outside & has been for most of the day. if i was driving in this rain i'd be wanting to stop on the side of road because it's really, really heavy.

dad & tosca, & fiona & dean, should be okay driving in it to come to dinner tonight, because i'll bet their windscreens work better than ours does. ours just doesn't like to clear the rain very well for some reason, even with the wipers on full speed. also, the air conditioner & fans don't work very well, so the windscreen fogging up is a real problem.

i just dumped some old veggies & scraps of various bits of food into the small area of tall grass we keep for the chooks to play in. we put our scraps there for them to feed from & to encourage bugs & worms for them also. mcgarnicle found the stale end of one of the loaves of bread i made the other day & is off finding a place to bury it. *snort* he's such a dork.

i just had a thought (no, it didn't hurt).

isn't it funny how you can tell the quality of something &/or how expensive it is, by the packaging it comes in? this is especially obvious with food, such as chocolates or biscuits. it's a marketing thing i suppose .. & i guess it works. maybe it's because we assume (probaby correctly in most cases) that if they go to that extra bit of trouble with the packaging, that the contents must be worth that extra bit of trouble.

today's task is to clean up from the last few days of pigginess (on my part) so that the house looks presentable for dad & tosca & fiona & dean when they come over for dinner tonight.

i've not been a total pig, so it shouldn't take too long. just a few dishes to do, maybe a spot of vacuuming & putting a few things away back to where they belong.
