six demos - 10:46 PM

as you might already know, i'm doing my enjo training at the beginning of february. they suggest that you ahve six to ten demonstrations booked for that month, to help kick-start your business. as of tonight i have six booked! woo hoo!

thank you to my friends who are helping me out by agreeing to host a demo. i really appreciate it.

as for anyone else out there in the brisbane area, if you would like to host a demo (there's a special on in february in which you could earn yourself a floor cleaner & fibre for free .. plug, plug, plug) then i'm your woman. even if you just want to try out some of the enjo stuff, let me know.

now to get even more demos booked to start my business off really successfully. since shroom's job has come to an end, i have a lot of incentive to get it going. who knows .. if i do really well, i can be the breadwinner & shroom can be a stay at home dad.

i almost scared the proverbial out of riley just then. he was making "agerrrrahhh" noises lying on his play mat & they were becoming progressively more & more "i'm not quite so happy anymore now, mummy" noises. before he cracked up totally, i jumped down on the floor & threw my head amongst the toys hanging down from the arch above his head & gave my approximation of the noises he was making, "grrraaah!"

his eyes opened wide with fright & he looked as though was about to cry as i thought desperately, "keep smiling! keep smiling!" while he realised it was only mummy being a dick & began to smile at me instead of bursting into tears. *phew!*

must remember not to jump at him making big scary monster noises quite like that again ..

wandering chooks - 06:42 PM

bummer. we're going to have to keep the chooks locked up. they've been free-range for a little while now & it seems that ranging has included not just our neighbour on one side, but as far as two doors down the other way as well. the lady at that house came to tell me that her dog had bailed up one of the chooks & that they were going into their horse's stable & making a mess there.

i had no idea they were wandering that far. it's a shame to have to lock them up, but we can't let them mess up other people's places .. it's a quick way to make enemies of our neighbours.

i guess tomorrow we'll have to get hooked into the chook shed & wire it up all the way to the top of the shed so they can't get out, as well as making sure that we keep the door closed to keep them in. i wonder if we could build some sort of highish fence around a bigger area (& clip their wings) so that they'll still have some grass & bugs to eat. we'll have to think about it.

shroom had his last day of work today, so i guess we'll take advantage of it & use this time to get onto it straight away.
