the power was out for about two & a half hours tonight. it just came back on about half an hour ago. even though it's a pain in the bum, it's kind of nice. it forces you to sit & just talk & relax in the candlelight. if you're not forced to stop like that, you tend to just keep doing, well, stuff, you know? stuff that's not really all that important.

Yes, thak goodness for gas stoves and teenage boys and bbq's! I cooked our f ried rice on the stove, and the boys cooked the chicken kebabs on the barby.... we sat and watched the lightning show onthe deck, and then incrediably, the sun came out, and then after a 2 hour blackout, we had starlight which we were able to see, because the streetlights were blacked out too. It was lovely, we actually sat and talked as a family.
More blackouts! Yah!
