not grumpy with cows - 06:02 PM

currently, the only thing which makes my grumpy & possibly teething baby happy (aside from holding him & patting him for twenty minutes out of every half hour) is the 'cows with guns' cd .. but only the track with the vocals, not the instrumental one.

man, this solids caper has added a whole new challenge to my day. i can't simply whip the boob out for a feed every time when he's hungry & then continue with what i was doing on the computer, albeit with only one hand.
giving riley solids requires more than just my full attention & two hands. it requires being a multitasking octopus: removing his hands from his mouth, trying to push him backwards to sit up so that i can reach his mouth with the spoon, collecting the dribbles going down his chin, & keeping the container of food & the spoon away from his hands.
at least it's quite fun when he seems to really enjoy what he's eating & he laughs so much that i wonder when he's going to close his mouth again to keep the food in.
