sitting & crawling - 08:42 PM

smiley sat on his own just before! it was a kind of wobbly, sort of sideways sitting, but it was definitely sitting. he was on his bottom leaning to one side on his hands. he stayed that way for a full minute until he began to shift position & i had to slide his mat away from the table to avoid him hitting his head if he toppled, which looked rather possible as he was trying to change position.
he hasn't crawled yet, but i don't think it'll be very far away. also for the first time, earlier today he got onto his hands & knees & then rocked back & forth a bit. he was able to stay that way for about thirty seconds.

man. he is so teething. he's munching on my finger & almost crushing my knuckle. i wonder if he munches that hard on his own fingers?

ouch. last night when i was packing my enjo orders i forgot to put some things in, so i had to undo the staples at the top to get inside the bags. first i did one index finger, then ten minutes later, the other one: getting one side of the staple loosened, i managed to push the sharp end through a small bit of skin on my finger & have it curve through & come out a millimetre or two next to the entry point. both fingers are rather sore this morning.
that's what happens when you play with sharp things when you're tired.
