i have a baby sister! she's not born yet, but i know that she'll be my little sister. tosca emailed to two pictures of the ultrasound she had today. i'm really excited!

it wasn't too difficult to get the bones out after all. just a bit time consuming.

i'm making chicken (& vegetable) soup. everything's in & pretty much cooked, but now i have to remove the chook & take out all the bones. that's going to be a challenge, since it fell apart progressively more & more every time i grabbed it with the tongs to move it around in the pot to allow the vegetables to mix into the water properly.

now that riley's having solids at least three times a day, the days of sweet smelling breastmilk poos are over. i changed a pooey nappy before & even though it still looks mostly like baby poo, it's smelling very much like grown up poo. yick.

smiley's really into his feet the last few days. he'll lie on his back with his feet in the air & grab them with his also currently ever-grabbing hands. it's rather cute.
.. then again, who am i kidding? i think that everything he does is cute. heh.
