I read up to page 3 the other week and then a few days later my friend Adam called me to let me know our planned meetup in Melbourne was off because his mum was in hospital with a blood problem... I immeadiately wondered if it was leukemia but it was a week before the results came through. She does have it. She's on oral chemo at the moment and things are moving along slowly. She started to lose her hair... she has no interest in food other than to take her meds... she's tired and rundown... I'm hoping to be able to help out while i'm here, its the least i can do to repay her kindness to me over the last few years.
I'm so glad your sister has had the courage to write of her families experience... it has helped me alot.
