mon & family's visit - 08:17 AM

mon & greg (& kels & britt of course) are coming up to brisbane to visit! yay! it's been difficult getting it happen, what with britt's chemo schedule being put back a week or so when she went into hospital with a fever. her levels (the neutraphil levels) are borderline to allow her to travel, but they desperately want to visit everyone here, since no family are in sydney where they are, so they're taking a calculated risk. all going well, they leave by car this morning, to arrive tonight.
monica's really keen to meet riley (i know she'll adore him. she hasn't met him yet, you see) but since he & i have a cold each, after long discussions with mon, we've decided it's best to leave a visit from us until the end of their holiday, next weekend, since any exposure to sickness can put britt in grave danger. it's not just a matter of a hospital visit for her, it's that any sickness can risk her life! so even though we're both diappointed that we have to wait, hopefully by then riley & i will both be over our colds & we can visit with everyone.
if worse comes to worst & we're still sick, then mon will come for a visit on her own to see us, then go back & 'decontaminate' herself before going near britt again. my mission between now & next weekend is to kick this cold!
Oh I hope you guys get to see Mon and the rest of the family on their holiday. I was meaning to ask about Britt the other day. I'm sure your sister is just as keen to see you and meet your son. *hugs*
