i hate it when people ring & the machine clicks in but they don't leave a message! i got up from having a sleep with smiley, disturbed him in the process & woke him up too, to pick up the phone just seconds after the message would have begun playing, & the person did not leave a damn message!! if they'd had the decency to begin talking then i would have been able to talk to them in person!
so people, think about it when you get a machine. leave a message! leave a message! leave a damn message!!

Probably telemarketers, Corrie ... we were plagued them for a while, so severely that I took to pulling the phone plug out of the wall when Alia and I were ready to nap (after two or three such incidents). There is nothing on earth more frustrating than being rudely jerked back from the edge of dreamland by a WEATHERBOARD SALESPERSON. Or the hum of the dialtone if you didn't get to the phone before the machine clicks in (these people never leave msgs, of course).
