easter laying break over? - 05:04 PM

after a long break over easter, while they moulted, the chooks might be back on the lay again. twice i've heard a chook doing the proud "buk, buk, buk, buk, buh-carrrk!" that they do when they've just laid an egg, but i haven't been able to find any eggs. either it's a false alarm, or the chooks have found a really good hidey-hole for their eggs.

If they are making that noise, there are eggs being laid somewhere, I reckon....they might be well hidden. You'll probably find out where in 6 months time when mcgarnicle is nosing around and they explode rotten egg all over him! Our dog Russell used to do that all the time!
