sounds rude, but it's actually a very nice (& really quick to download) little app that will strip all the ">>>" characters out of a forwarded email, making it a hell of a lot easier to read. it has a handy little copy button for copying the text again to paste into a new email. pity it doesn't have a feature to copy the text from the original email just by highlighting it. you & i find it very easy, but some people aren't very comfortable with copying & pasting.
check out email stripper. the bonus is that it's free. i know there are lots of cool little text editors out there, but this is a purpose built one, made simple & easy to use especially for stripping email.
mobile phone plan - 09:15 AM

i've been looking around online at mobile phones. i don't really need a new one, but it'd be nice to upgrade it to something new & fancy. unfortunately, we're signed up to a two year contract with our current provider & we're not quite half way through it. i called to ask if they have some kind of upgrade option whereby we could stay on the plan, but get a new phone & they're just about to bring that option in. again unfortunately, even when it does come in, you're not allowed to take that option until your contract is within six months of ending. poo.
two years, or even one year these days, is a long time for a phone. a phone which is that old is ready to retire to one of those retirement villages for funky old people, or at the very least sell all its investment houses & travel the world.
the only option available to me if i do want to upgrade our phone is to buy a new outright & simply stick our existing sim card in it .. which would actually be kind of nice to not be stuck in a contract .. well, after this one expires, anyway. i guess buying a phone outright is still cheaper than paying out 14 months of a contract at $30 a pop.
meh. maybe i'm just dreaming. our old phone's not such a bad one, anyway.
