first steps! - 06:05 PM

wow!! smiley just had what we would definitely classify as his first steps! initially he was standing at the edge of shroom's desk & took one complete unaided step, without holding onto anything or falling down afterwards, to shroom's chair, where he was sitting. we both looked at each other in amazement.

so we sat down on the lounge room floor a few feet apart from each other & took it in turns to encourage riley to take a few steps towards us. he did well. after a while though he got quite excited about it so that we could hardly stand him up to walk because he was bouncing up & down.

so exciting! *yay!*

I remember when my daughter took her first steps. I think she was a 1 year old. She had been crawl-hawling around showing no signs of interest in anything except being carried around. Then one day I turned around quickly and noticed her running by. New Trick Baby!
