i know that smiley likes playing with the water bottles which we refill & it was a good idea to give him one to play with to distract him from his crankiness, but it would also have been an excellent idea to have closed the pop-up lid before giving said water bottle to child. i saw him giving it to smiley & had the thought that i wondered if he'd closed the lid, but if i had asked, then he would have responded, "i'm not stupid. you seem to think i'm stupid. of course the lid is closed."
*rolls eyes & sighs*
edited to add: in his defence, he just said he's sure the lid was closed & that smiley opened it. i'm not quite so sure that this is possible, since i even have trouble opening them sometimes.
