as so eloquently put by melanie, we are, indeed, here.

the move was harrowing in the way that moving house always is, but it was trouble free with only minor breakages. well, the washing machine had part of the plastic control panel broken, but it still works if you hold the panel down while you use the dial. we had insurance for the move, so as we find broken things here & there we're making a record of it.

we have way too much crap. when the house was already full of our stuff & the spare room absolutely chockers, the moving guy said that there were only fifteen cartons to go & that was it. i thought he was joking, but no, we still really had fifteen cartons of crap to go. i'll be going through the stuff as we unpack it & seeing what i can ebay away.

i'll take some pics of our house soon & putting them online.
