i might be offline until friday evening. in preparation for the flooring guy coming tomorrow morning, tonight we have to remove everything from the two bedrooms & the lounge room area. this includes our desks & our computers. shroom's computer provides my internet connection so if he doesn't plug his back in, then i have buckley's of getting online. i guess it depends on how keen he is to keep his connection. he can get online at work, so it might not be something he'll be bothered doing.
so if you don't see any posts from me for a while, or if i don't answer email, then you know why. i should be able to get back online at mum's place, but that won't be until friday evening & i may be too tired to get online until the next day, so we'll see how i go.
if i don't catch you tomorrow, then i'll catch you in a few days. 
preparing to go away - 03:29 PM

it's quite a task when preparing to go away with the only car for almost five whole days, making sure that the remaining members of the household (shroom, mcgarnicle) have everything they'll need while i'm away (cigarettes, food).
it's not just cigarettes & food, though. i also have to make sure the washing is done so that shroom has some clean uniforms for work. i know he can do all that sort of thing himself, but he has his job going to the mill every day & i have my job looking after him, smiley & the dog .. & that's part of my job.
once i've made sure everything is ready here, i'll have to make sure that i have everything i need for the five days away. smiley's going to be the one using up most of the room in the suitcase. thankfully i won't need to bring many toys or books since mum has a stash of that type of thing ready for when her grandkids visit. that's one less thing to think of. *phew!*
love hole in the floor - 09:37 AM

smiley must know his little knot hole in the bedroom floor is going to be covered up soon. he's been spending so much time with it lately. he goes in there & lies on the floor on his tummy with his head resting on his arms & one finger or another stuck in the hole. we feel so guilty that he's going to lose it.
i guess he'll probably forget straight away that it was ever there, what with the totally new flooring over the top to distract him (not to mention a change of bedroom into the one with the ceiling fan) but we still feel bad about taking away such a loved spot.
