smiley had a fever yesterday. we were at monica's place visiting her, so what with britt being sick as she is (although she's doing very well & it's all maintenance treatments now), monnie had more pharmaceutical supplies than a pharmacy & we gave him a couple of treatments during the day while i was there. we measured his temperature at 38.6c (101.48f) before we treated him, which is high, but not all that high for a baby, they reckon.
last night on the bus, however, he was even hotter. i had no way of measuring it accurately, but he was definitely hotter than during the day. i knew we had nothing at home to try to bring the fever down (other than methods such as a cool bath) so once shroom picked us up from the bus, i asked him to stop by the hospital on the way home since there are no late night pharmacies in town.
they were happy to take his temperature (39c or 102.2f) & give him some panadol. they gave me another dose for him to take this morning if it hadn't improved, but he feels much better now. he might be the tiniest bit warmer than usual, but certainly nothing to worry about like last night.

we're back home again. we got back in on the bus which arrived last night at 1:25am. smiley slept pretty well on the bus, but i'm still rather tired.
