wow! you gotta love a good queensland storm. the kind that blows up in two minutes from nothing to doors slamming from the wind & having you literally running from window to window to close them because the rain is coming in horizontally, reaching all the way across the kitchen & getting the fridge wet.
.. & then five minutes later you wouldn't even know that it was there, except for the carnage inside the house being mopped up with a big beach towel & the tree branches & leaves which have been blown around outside.
it brought the temperature down ten degrees in about three minutes. the humidity might even ease up. it's been stinking hot & sweaty for a week now. mind you, the clouds will probably be gone & we'll all be sweltering again by four o'clock this afternoon.
shroom rides his bike around the mill to get from job to job. i hope he wasn't caught in the storm. he would have been blown over by it for sure.
climbing - 12:14 PM

he's begun climbing. [cue dramatic chords]
i just caught smiley sitting in the middle of the dining room table, looking very pleased with himself. he'd climbed up on a tool box, onto a char & right up onto the table. he did it really quickly, too. i'd only checked on him about two minutes earlier.
teeth eleven & twelve, too? - 10:21 AM

well, after my friend angie pointed out that the molars usually come in before the incisors, i had a closer look & i think that a tooth beside one of the two that are almost through has actually broken through.
i had as close a look as i could & from what i could see & feel, the tooth directly next to his four front bottom teeth on the left has almost come through (incisor), the one next to that has broken through (molar, i guess) & on his right, the incisor has broken through & the molar is on its way.
so that's four new teeth! well, almost. the ones that haven't broken through are so close. i can feel them & see them under his gum. one good munch on something hard & i reckon they'll pop through.
two new teeth on the way - 07:08 AM

after not having had any appear for such a long time, smiley finally has two new teeth on the way. they hadn't broken through when he let me have a good look yesterday, & one was closer to the surface than the other one, but they're both pretty close.
these two will be teeth nine & ten, one either side of his four bottom teeth.
