over the last couple of days smiley has held my hand. it was only from the kitchen to the lounge room & once last night in the front yard, but even those few times were excellent. this is the first time he's allowed me to hold his hand while walking. first times ever.
he's always been really independant & would pull his hand away when you tried to hold it to guide him. it means i've never been able to put him down in the street to walk beside me because he would simply have run onto the road or whatever. i haven't tried it on the street yet, but i might soon. mind you, i think he's only going to allow it for a few seconds at a time.
you're the one who is meant to be allowing him stuff, you know ;P

guess he wants to try things on his own, but some level of security is needed at times. he is finding that out i suppose.
