smiley has scratched an itch for the first time. he's had heaps of mozzie bites before, but he's never scratched one until now. he has two sets of bites on one leg & he's been scratching them today. i think i might buy a packet of colourful or character bandaids for him & put them over the bites so he doesn't scratch them raw & get them infected.

smiley's trying to feed himself. i was trying to give him some stewed apple & pear, but he wanted to hold the spoon, so i gave it to him & he began putting it into the bowl.
so i've set him up in his high chair with a tiny amount of food in his bowl & he's actually doing okay. i have to help him get the food on his spoon & guide it to his mouth, but he's got the general idea .. just doesn't quite have the dexterity yet. getting the food on the spoon is the bit he's not so great at, but he certainly knows that the spoon goes in his mouth & he's not bad at that.
he was grumpy as before, but now he's quite happy sitting up there dipping the spoon in & moving it around in the bowl.
