smiley's really good at getting down from higher places now. it's good not to have to worry so much about leaving him asleep on a couch or a bed.

I second that last comment. Don't relax too much yet. Now, I know the feeling of breathing easy that comes with knowing they won't fall and clonk their head when you aren't looking. But what comes next is that they figure that if the can get down ok, why shouldn't they be able to take great flying leaps off of the couch onto the chair/table/whatever.
