missing shorts - 08:00 AM

a few days ago, a pair of my shorts seemed to disappear off the face of the earth .. or at least out of mum's house. i looked everywhere that they could possibly be, including at the end of the bed in amongst the quilt & the wooden bed end where mum suggested several times when i asked if maybe she'd accidentally put them somewhere else.
in the middle of the night last night when i'd gotten up for a few minutes & then hopped back into bed, i heard something drop onto the floor from the end of the bed. it was my shorts.
i really hate it when my mother is right.
