a cat & her baby - 08:13 AM

there are two cats living in our laundry downstairs. they've been living amongst the boxes of our stored stuff (okay, i admit it, it's mostly 'my' stuff, not 'our' stuff) since while we were away over christmas.
shroom came home to dead birds & many feathers & saw the two cats. one is a kitten & the other is, i assume, the kitten's feral mother. shroom said the mum wasn't pleased to see him & made noises as such.
i saw them just now, too. the baby came out to see mcgarnicle & i when i took him outside to pee & he wanted to investigate because he could smell them. when he came back for a second look the kitten was hiding & the mum was glaring out at us.
Poor birds. Get the National Parks to trap them....(I am a cat lover too, but cats can breed like crazy!)

we have a feral cat epidemic in florida. some think an "open season" is needed. of course the cat lovers don't.
