no sales but still happy - 01:02 PM

i'm back from the markets. i didn't actually sell anything, but i'm still happy that i was there & that a few people took business cards. a couple of people also gave me their email addresses for the notify list (to let them know when there are new things up at the shop).

there were quite a number of people that stopped by & admired it all. the ones who took their time looking said nice things, so it was good to get positive feedback.

i'm glad that i didn't have a table any bigger than my little space, because i was nervous a couple of times when youngish kids came up that they were just going to try to nick something. i think it was mainly because they were boys who would almost definitely not be interested in my jewellery. they could have been looking for a mother's day present, but they didn't give me that impression.

anyway, all in all, it was a nice time. with all the hands-free time i had with smiley at home with daddy, i made good headway on a new piece on which i've been working.

shroom & smiley came to visit at about 10:30-ish & stayed until the end. smiley got to go on the train a couple of times which goes around & around & through a tunnel & toots its horn loudly. shroom said that he was quite nonchalant about it when they were actually on it, but when they got off, he was keen to go back for another ride. heh. little cutie.

i took a taxi in to the markets so that shroom & smiley could sleep in rather than having to all wake up & drive in there (although smiley woke up early anyway. oh well) but it cost almost $12!! that's a five minutes taxi ride. man, even the taxis are expensive in emerald. i was expecting it might cost about $6 or $7. i might get shroom to drive me in next time & he can then take the car back home. or else maybe i'll just drive in & drive myself back if he doesn't mind being house bound until after midday.

oh, i did make a sale of sorts. a lady who works at the college stopped by with her daughter & admired my stuff. she mentioned that her other daughter (i think. she might have said neice. i can't remember now) is having a birthday in june so she looked at what i had & told me that she wanted something similar to this & this but with little dragonflies on it. i can do that. *smile*

i did take a picture of my little stall & i'll link to it once i've put it up. it doesn't look all that impressive, though .. especially with the big wheelie bin behind it. lol! *chuckle*
