identifying shapes - 08:12 AM

smiley has been playing with a soft foam shape sorting book for about six months or so & has been able to get the right shape in the right hole about 75% of the time. about nine months ago, he had a shapes book & was able to point to the sparkly shape within the picture, if not recognise the difference between the shapes.
he became interested in other things for a while there but this week shroom has been teaching him shapes again. yesterday he was drawing shapes for him with his crayons & was asking him to point to the right shape as he named each one. he was able to point to the triangle & the circle, but didn't get the square. this morning he was able to identify the sqaure, too!
it's amazing how fast they learn.
