feeling flat - 02:27 PM

i'm feeling a bit flat today. i'm getting impatient with smiley quickly, too.

maybe it's the weather. it's overcast.

it could be partly because i'm expecting things in the mail & nothing at all came today, but it must be more than that. it could be that i'm a bit tired, but i had a sleep just before lunch, so i don't think it's that, either.

my mothers day weekend was a bit sucky. that could be part of it. actually, it wasn't sucky, it was simply a non-event. i wasn't expecting any grand affair, but a simple "happy mothers day" from shroom would have been nice.

Join the club. Not that I ever get a gift or expect one, but this year I was flat on my back sick as can be, and didn't get so much as a cuppa to make me feel better. That's okay, we'll see how well Father's Day goes without my input.

Poor Corri. That does suck. I didn't expect a present or anything (that would require a degree of co-ordination and foresight not possessed by the Husband) but I did get a lovely picture-letter "from" Alia, which he'd made with a photo of her, and a bit of pampering on the day because I, like TJ, spent it sick as a dog and 38 weeks pregnant. So I no complain.

Hopefully when Smiley and Alia are old enough to have a concept of it, we'll at least get the burnt toast and spilled orange juice in bed with love!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY and yes I did mean to shout, cause it's worth shouting about! *smile*

I think you are an amzing mother who copes with changes houses, and deals with making a new future for yourself and your family. It cannot be easy to be so far away from your own family, but you are doing it, and able to make new friends and forge new horizons.

Well done!

A cuppa tea in bed would have been nice, and I always make a point of thanking my hubby for MAKING me a mother, which brings the point home that Shroomy should have given you more attention and been grateful you are there, but perhaps next year?

btw, did you take your jewllery to dress shops, so that they can co-ordinate original designs wtih their fashions? Just a thought, of course you did. Don't forget to photograph them and take them to Rockhampton too, and other local towns.

Good luck, and happy Mother's Day once again.
