mood has picked up - 08:11 PM

my mood has picked up a bit after today's slump. i was reading on the beading forum how some people have got their jewellery put into shops or sold on commission or whatever & i thought, "bugger it! i'm going to go out now & see if there are any shops around town who might be interested in my stuff."
so i did. most places just said "no" straight away, but at one place the lady there took a look & thought the owner might be interested, so i'm going to go back tomorrow when the lady who owns the place is there.
nothing like getting your bum into gear to shake off the blues. heh.

i'm feeling a bit flat today. i'm getting impatient with smiley quickly, too.
maybe it's the weather. it's overcast.
it could be partly because i'm expecting things in the mail & nothing at all came today, but it must be more than that. it could be that i'm a bit tired, but i had a sleep just before lunch, so i don't think it's that, either.
my mothers day weekend was a bit sucky. that could be part of it. actually, it wasn't sucky, it was simply a non-event. i wasn't expecting any grand affair, but a simple "happy mothers day" from shroom would have been nice.

how disappointing. not a single thing in the mail today. some days (most days) my only excitement is walking to the post box to collect the mail & see if there's anything of interest in there.
even if there's just boring mail at least that's something, but today there isn't anything. not even any internal college mail. bah.
i am expecting a package or two, so i guess that's why i'm particularly disappointed today. one package is some beads to start making the bracelet which a lady here at the college ordered. the other package will contain my lindstrom tools which my good mate, dave, got me for my birthday. they're both exciting, but i'm really looking forward to getting my tools. they'll make jewellery making even more of a pleasure.
come on mail man. hurry up.
cursor control with the arrow keys? - 08:25 AM

does anyone know if it's possible (& how) to take control of the cursor with the arrow keys? i need some really fine cursor control, one pixel at a time, & i don't know how to do it.
