well, colour me surprised, they turned up. it seems they were with shroom because the guy drove up our driveway in a van with shroom in the passenger seat.

i'm not sure what's going on with the actual adsl itself, because he didn't install any modem. what he did do was to get our 'proper' phone line going. previously our number was through the pabx at the college, so i assume now that we'll have a normal telstra line through which we'll connect via the adsl modem .. wherever that is.

i guess shroom's on top of the modem business, or at least knows what's going on with it, because he didn't say anything to me about it.

anyway, i'm able to connect to our normal dialup through this new line, so as long as i can get online, that's all that matters to me right now. heh. *smile*
