to market to market - 05:51 PM
yesterday was market day again. this time i did a lot better than last time when it was a public holiday long weekend & almost no one was there, stall holders or market-goers.
i was selling fudge this time & i did pretty well. i sold eighteen out of thirty packets of fudge & made $66 from it. it seemed that caramel was the most popular flavour. many people didn't even want to try the other flavours from the samples i had available. personally, i like the caramel flavour the least. it's still nice, but i think the milk chocolate & dark chocolate are the nicest.
i sold two pieces of jewellery, both necklaces. not a lot but it's an improvement over last time when i didn't sell any! i gave out heaps of business cards.
anyway, so the total day's takings came to $136. not such a bad effort.
a lady was going around to the stall holders inviting them to an event next sunday which is built up around a local game of cricket from what i understand. i'll be attending & so i'll be making more fudge this week to sell there, as well as bringing along my jewellery, of course.
oh, i got some good feedback about my fudge. a couple of people said it was much better than the fudge being sold at the emerald show which was on last week. they said it was really awful. i thought fudge was pretty hard to stuff up, but apparently not. good to know i'm onto a winner, in that case.
Well done! Glad to hear it went so well, good on you! Great that you sold some jewellery too xxx

Well, after reading about you making fudge I thought I would give it a go. It just made me laugh reading that you thought making fudge was really hard to stuff up.............well guess what, I did, it was more like toffee than fudge. Dont tell anyone though being a cook in a comprehensive school, I'll get the sack for failing at fudge cookery.
