the demise of the mouse - 05:56 PM

our mouse has met his demise. i didn't expect it at all, but mcgarnicle actually managed to kill the mouse! i heard him snuffling & scratching about in the laundry, but assumed the mouse was hiding under the washing machine.
when i went there later in the evening, i saw a small dark spot in the corner. i turned the light on & there was poor little mousey, dead. his little eyes were still open & i could see his tiny little teeth.
it was a shame that smiley was already asleep because i would have shown him the mouse. pointed out his eyes & nose & ears etc. i threw little mousey out the front door onto the lawn for a bird or some animal to take away.
