freezer died - 03:01 PM
bummer. our big freezer's dead. we had to save all our food & as much of the dog's food as we could & fit it all into the tiny freezer attached to the fridge.
fortunately it's still under warranty since we only bought it last year when our big old chest freezer died. they have no repair dealer out here in emerald, so i've called one of our local people to then ring them & get authorisation & do whatever they have to do. let's hope it gets sorted out soon.
it was just as well we didn't have too much dog food in there. as it is we had to take out all the dog bones (i think they were from some college cows which were slaughtered recently) & just chuck them out into the yard. it was a struggle to fit everything else into the tiny fridge's freezer, there's no way we would have fit all those huge bones in there as well.
I remember way back when...
My dad, my brothers, and I were building the summer cottage near a resort town back in the late 70's. Family dog was along.
Everything was pretty much set, prepped, and layed out so when the rest of the crew got in and started the following Saturday: Viola! A House!
Since this was occuring during a national holiday weekend: party was planned.
The party included a leg of cow barbarqued over a spit.
The house went up in a day, with the doors, windows, and roofing the following day. The cow leg was stripped to the bone.
Now what are we to do with the bone?? Of course! Throw it to the family dog!
Now imagine a small dog (half Labrador retriever, half beagle - appears to be a Lab pup with big ears) being tossed this MONGO bone!
Yes! My eyes are big as hub caps!
It was hilarious seeing it just trying to haul the bone away.
Pick up, take two steps, fall down on your face.
Pick up, take a step, fall again.
Chew on bone for a while.
Repeat.
