sorting boxes - 10:56 PM

tonight we went through a number of boxes, sorting through them, getting ready to move to bahrain.
there are many, many, many boxes which we've been carting around for perhaps three or more house moves. most of it is stuff which i've been dragging around for years & most of it is just junk. some of it is literally rubbish, things which had been thrown in there with no time to sort through it & now that we are going through it, it turns out to be just empty envelopes, or empty bags & i wonder why i didn't just throw them out when i first emptied the envelope or the bag.
i've been ruthless. the bags & boxes of stuff to sell at the garage sale we'll be having before we go are getting quite full. most of that stuff is still junky, but definitely the sort of thing which someone might pay 50c or a $1 for at a garage sale.
the garden shed outside is full to the brim with more boxes. some of it i haven't even looked at for years, so i'll be taking out anything that has major sentimental value & dumping or garage sale-ing the rest.
we'll be doing more boxes each night until we get through them all. what a job. i feel a bit dusty & itchy & we've both sneezed a few times from the dust on all the old memories & times gone past that have been stored in those boxes.
