we got our shots this afternoon, ready for going overseas to bahrain. shroom went first (to get it over & done with), i went second & smiley had his last. shroom & i had three needles each & smiley had two.
after my third one, i was feeling rather woozy, as though i was going to faint, so i sat with my head hung down between my legs for a minute or so while the nurse was getting ready to give smiley his shots while he sat on shroom's lap. when the needle went into his arm i was still feeling a bit off, but as soon as he started to cry, i could feel the fainting symptoms subside instantly. he was my focus & i had no room for being sick myself. as soon as he was a bit happier, i could feel my symptoms come back.
maternal instincts are an amazing thing. when you need the strength to look after your child's needs, you can usually find it from within immediately to be able to put aside your own needs.
