colds all 'round - 12:00 PM

smiley & i have been suffering from a cold for a couple of weeks. i had it for a while with just a bit of a blocked nose, but not even bothering me enough to mention it. the other day it hit me a bit harder. now my sinuses are suffering a bit, too. poor smiley woke up the other night at about 3:30am with his sinuses really bothering him, the poor little thing. it took about half an hour sitting in the shower with the warm water running over him to calm him down enough to want to go back to bed.
i've been taking sinus tablets to try to relieve the pressure, but i'm going to stop because i think maybe it's what's been causing smiley to stay up until all hours of the night. for about a week now, he's been staying up, totally wide awake, until about 2am or later! mind you, i've only been taking the tablets (& as few as possible) for about three days, so that doesn't account for earlier in the week. hmm.

yesterday, i dropped into shroom's work to give him some cash for lunch after i'd gone to the autoteller. i ended up staying for lunch with shroom after we went through security & made a few calls to allow smiley in there. not sure why babies aren't allowed in as long as they're being carried, but anyway.
he showed me his desk & i noted the picture of smiley & he that he's stuck up with in view. one of the ladies who works on the opposite side of the room came over to say hi to smiley & when i commented on the picture, she said it was the first thing that shroom put on his desk as soon as he got there. i thought that was so sweet, but shroom was embarrassed for being shown up as a softie & said, "oh! don't tell her that!". lol!
