i've added another couple of pictures to the 'everyday things, bahraini style' series in my bahrain set at flickr:

you may have noticed in the picture of my old glasses compared to my new glasses, that both of them sit slightly crooked. you can see in the picture, if you look at my eyes & compare to the top of the frames, that the left side sits ever so slightly lower than the right side. i don't know .. maybe it's actually my eyes!
anyway, i tried to fix this with both pairs of glasses but never could. when i went back to the optometrist where i bought the new glasses & then at another optometrist down the road, they also tried to straighten them. still no good. they would sit straight for a few minutes & then go back to being crooked.
turns out that smiley fixed them for me! he was getting rather enthusiastic about something & was throwing his arms/hands/fists around in the air & clonked me on the right side of the head & top corner of my glasses. ever since then my glasses have been perfectly straight. rotfl!!
