today smiley was happy to leave with kalyani (our lovely housekeeper) & her friend, mary. i think that the timing was mostly just luck, but perhaps the 100 fils & the promise of a lollypop from the shop just across the road probably helped as well. he left saying "bye" & even gave me a kiss.

it's so much nicer for him to leave happy, instead of with crying & tears. *smile*
