can't connect phone - 06:08 PM
damn phone! my mobile phone isn't connecting to my computer anymore. what a pain in the bum! i got an error a day or so ago which i'd never got before so i uninstalled & reinstalled the software. the error has gone, but now when i plug it in it just sits there & does nothing. it may as well not even be plugged in for all the difference it makes.
i'm following all the instructions given & doing it just as i've done it before, but nothing is happening. it was kind of hit & miss previously anyway as to whether it would recognise that it was plugged in, but now it's just not doing anything!
i don't know if it's the cable, the phone or the software & i don't really have a way of knowing without buying another cable.
what a pain in the bum. i have some pictures on there which i want to get off & now they're just stuck there. grrrr!

i just opened a few band-aids in the dark (not actually the band-aid brand, these ones are called careband) & the glue or fastening between the two sides of the wrapping of the band-aids glowed in the dark as i pulled them apart. i kid you not!
as i pulled the two sides of each individual band-aid packet apart, where the adhesive was attaching the two sides together, it glowed as they came apart. seriously. when i opened the first one, i saw the glow, but was standing just under the mostly closed blinds which have street lights shining behind them, so i wondered if it was a reflection from the street or from a passing car. i moved my hands around to find it but couldn't see any light there.
so i did another one & yep, it definitely glowed. then, with the rest of the other ones where i'd only opened them far enough to remove the band-aid, i pulled the wrappers apart all the way until it was in two pieces. it glowed all the way to the end.
so cool!!
i have no idea if the wrappers of all sticking plaster brands do this, or if it's just the adhesive they use in this brand. i'd like to show smiley next time he's awake when it's dark, but i know he'll want to tear apart the wrappers of every single band-aid from the box & then they'll be unsterile. maybe i can just keep some partially peeled apart wrappers for him.
i am so going to buy this same brand again. if anyone else has other brands of band-aids they want to test the wrappers on, let me know if they do it, too. heh. cool!
(after a quick google, i just found two links about the brand if you want to to see if you can buy the same ones. here are extra large ones, although the ones i have is the pack of sixty assorted sterile sheer bandages with three sizes, & here is some article about the company who distrubute them.)
[edited to add: i know this post is dated just after april fool's day was over, so you might be thinking i'm just kidding about the packets glowing, but it really isn't an april fool's joke .. even if i had managed to save the post before it clicked over to the 2nd of april.]
