cow dream - 10:45 PM

today smiley had a huge day sleep. he slept for three & a half hours. when he woke up, he called for me & i lay in bed with him for a little while & he told me all about a cow & how maisy (maisy mouse of course) was crying.
since he was quite wrapped up in his story so soon after waking, i asked him if he'd had a dream about a cow. he looked at me a bit funny so i told him that a dream is kind of like a movie but in your head while you're sleeping & he said with much conviction, "neah!" (his version of 'yeah'.)
he continued to tell me about the cow. it was white, apparently. as i meantioned earlier, maisy was crying for some reason & there was also a train with a butterfly & some other animals which i can't recall. over the course of the rest of the day, the cow has also been in an aeroplane & smiley has (pretend) chatted on the phone to nanna & poppy to tell them about the cow.
all rather cute. 
if you hadn't guessed, his verbal skills seem to have taken a huge leap in the past two or three weeks. i'm pretty sure it's nothing i've been doing particularly differently with him (if you know me at all, you can imagine i talk to him a fair bit), i guess he's just reached a certain stage in his development.
he's not talking in fully developed sentences, but he can certainly tell a story in his own way.

it is great you have noted down your son's dream, I don't think many people remember their early dreams.
